The problem
Appbrew needed a content engine that built authority with DTC founders, not just impressions. Interviews with real operators do that, but only if the conversations produce specific, quotable material instead of the answers guests give on every other podcast.
Guest research
Every episode starts with a full research pass. I scrape the guest's LinkedIn post history with Apify and read it end to end to learn their voice, their recurring themes, and the claims they're proud of. I pull their conference talks. When the guest runs their brand's app with Appbrew, I mine the real analytics so questions carry their own numbers.
The script
Each script is 20 to 21 questions in about five chapters: the guest's lens, how their customer decides, the industry arc, strategic bets, and a reflective close. One philosophical spine runs through the whole episode and returns in the final question. Questions alternate between two species: operator questions that make guests defend decisions, and reflection questions that make them narrate their industry. Different textures, different clips.
The cold open is built in the edit: three pre-clipped guest quotes stitched before the intro, so three hooks land before the host says a word.
Guests
Founders and executives behind brands including MiaMily, SUKOSHI, Svaha USA, Felina, Kut from the Kloth, and Suta. Real operators with real numbers, which is the entire point.
Distribution
Every episode ships with its distribution plan: the clip map, the teaser, and a landing page I ideated for the show at appbrew.com/podcast. Episodes also feed the founder's LinkedIn: the single best-performing post on his profile, at 7,415 impressions, was a Brewed episode deck. The podcast and the personal brand compound each other.
Results
A repeatable episode engine: research to script to recording to clips, with each conversation producing weeks of platform-native content and the founder's profile reaching 14K+ unique members in under two months on the back of it.
